Witness Protection was a small interactive piece we made for Spike Island’s Open Studios.
Participants were invited to step into a police forensic tent and asked to talk about what they had seen that day whilst visiting the open studios. They were then blindfolded and asked to say what they’d like to see when they opened their eyes. A polaroid picture was taken of them and then could then write on the polaroid what it was they would like to see.
Witness Protection was a short, ephemeral project. We still have the polaroids, and we think they’d make a great book. We might even turn them into one one day.
