The Flaw Set

The Flaw Set was an alternative cabaret night, which started life at the now demolished but legendary Seymour’s Family Club in Bristol. It also took place in Club Heaven and Hell in Liverpool, a social club in Cheltenham, St Bonaventures and the County Sports Club on Colston Street in Bristol.

It was a mix of music, performance, poetry, the occasional film and some other stuff. We regularly performed as part of the night, and we had an excellent compere in Mike Gorton. Some of the acts that performed included: Hot Club de Paris, Derehctub, Mario Vendredi, Soeza, Levantes Dance Theatre, Vegetables, Sleepy Ed Hicks, Pascale Straiton, and many more. It was a lot of fun, and an attempt to bring contemporary performance to a music crowd and vice-versa. And we like to think it was quite good at doing both.
