What does sound taste like?

In the week leading up to Venn 2007, The Special Guests conducted a series of taste test trials and attempted the challenge of translating limitless sound into the pathetic constraints of a sandwich.

The results of these tests are offered as bite-size soundwich samples to willing tasters who are invited to listen to their song and take a bite of sandwich. Following the experiment, tasters feedback is carefully recorded and logged. Recipe cards are made available allowing tasters to make their favourite soundwiches in the comfort of their own home.

This small performance was part of our “Sense(s) Trilogy” – and was commissioned specially for Venn Music Festival.
