Retreat into a golden silence amidst the fuzz as The Special Guests press mute and roam the streets dressed in grey care-taker’s uniforms. Offering Peace or Quiet to anyone who looks like they need a bit of looking after, The Special Guests invite you to take a moment and listen to the sounds inside your head.

Peace and Quiet was developed especially for Venn Festival 2006, and saw us roaming the streets of Stokes Croft offering a moment out of the chaos for festival-goers. We also collaborated with sound artist Jem Noble on a series of broadcasts which allowed Peace and Quiet into homes, cars and headphones via Radio Venn.
